Service Terms & Liability Notice

MotoMedic Works Service Terms

Authorization and estimates. No repair begins until the customer authorizes the estimate. If inspection or disassembly reveals additional work, MotoMedic Works will request further authorization before performing it. The customer is responsible for approved parts, labor, diagnostic time, transport, storage, and applicable taxes or fees. The final repair authorization and invoice control if they conflict with this website notice.

Vehicle condition and customer disclosures. The customer confirms that they own the motorcycle or are authorized to approve work and will disclose known modifications, prior damage, safety issues, fluid leaks, alarm or immobilizer systems, and other relevant conditions. Photographs may be taken to document the motorcycle’s condition and completed work.

Parts and outside conditions. MotoMedic Works is not responsible for failures caused by pre-existing damage, hidden defects, normal wear, manufacturer defects or recalls, prior repairs, corrosion, environmental conditions, or inaccurate information supplied by the customer. Customer-supplied parts are installed at the customer’s risk and carry no MotoMedic Works parts warranty; added labor caused by incorrect, defective, or incomplete parts may be charged with authorization.

Mobile, transport, and storage service. The customer must provide a safe and lawful work area. MotoMedic Works may stop or relocate work if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable. When authorized, the customer permits reasonable transport of the motorcycle to or from the shop and necessary road or operational testing. Personal property should be removed before service; MotoMedic Works is not responsible for unsecured items left with the motorcycle except to the extent required by law.

Safety and post-service use. Motorcycles involve inherent risk. The customer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and inspecting the motorcycle after service, following manufacturer instructions, and promptly reporting any concern. A motorcycle identified as unsafe should not be ridden until required repairs are completed. MotoMedic Works is not responsible for damage or injury caused by continued use after a warning, unauthorized modification, misuse, racing, stunt riding, collision, lack of maintenance, or work performed by others.

Limited liability. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, MotoMedic Works is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost income, towing, rental, travel, or missed events. For claims arising from an authorized service, any recoverable direct damages are limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where a different remedy or limitation is required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including responsibility for fraud, willful injury, gross negligence where applicable, or violation of law.

California law. These terms are governed by California law. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. These website terms are a general notice and do not replace a written estimate, repair authorization, final invoice, or any rights that cannot be waived.
